Cincy's a good town and deserves a fun night.
OK, good point. I have no reason to begrudge their fans a night as fun as the Brewers' NLDS game 3 two years ago. But if PHI wins tonight, logan's observation above will definitely be a silver lining for me.

Edit: I admit it, I felt empathy for the Reds fans, having been taken back to the end of NLDS game 4 as I watched them behold the end of their season.

David Aldridge is clearly out of his element as a sideline reporter for baseball. Tonight's main goof that I saw was calling Ryan Madson "Roy Halladay" as the bullpen guys walked past Cole Hamels on their way to the clubhouse just before Hamels was going to give Aldridge the endgame interview.

Jim Powell sounds pretty excited on the Braves' radio call, in the Braves' 9th.

Edit: well, not so much anymore. "It seems impossible...but it's over."

The Rays informed me that I have been selected to purchase Rays/Yankees Game 1/2 tickets. If the Rays win tonight, I'm probably going to make the purchase and go to Game 1 on Friday night.

Last inning Cliff Lee looked at his strikeout total: "Just one? Let me fix that."

Three K's, two looking. How high is this guy's salary going after the last two post-seasons? The Yankees are going to have to spend quite a bit to get him.

This game is so frustrating!!! Credit to the Rangers for being aggressive on the base paths, but all 3 of those runs could've been prevented with better defense. Price having some big issues covering first base quickly...

It's really all about Cliff Lee, he's shut down the Rays' offense. However, he's not going to complete the game, so they're going to get a shot against Feliz.

Looks like no ALCS for me :-(

So sad to see the Rays fans leaving early. I doubt they will be back in the playoffs for a long, long time.

Yeah. I'm open to Texas getting a chance to win a postseason series for the first time, but sad for the Rays faithful (whatever percentage of tonight's crowd that is). Although having switched to the Rangers' radio team, they don't seem quite as amped I would be if I were making this call.

How odd is it for the road team to win every game in a postseason series?

Seems like the home crowds can sometimes be a negative in the postseason--teams seem to be more relaxed on the road without the pressure to win in front of the big, excited crowd.

they said on the TV broadcast tonight that it had never happened in LDS history (short as it is.) I wonder if it's ever happened in the LCS or WS?

The Phillies/Giants looks to be more interesting since a few pitchers duels could end up going either way.

I would absolutely love to see the Rangers win the series, but I will be surprised if they win more than one game.
