nope. If they havent been mentioned as an official suitor, the mystery team is probably the Nationals, who would probably pay Lee about 35 million a year if the Jayson Werth contract is any barometer.

No. If they wouldn't go 7 for CC, it doesn't make a lot of sense to go 7 for Lee, who is older and has a worse track record.

JoeH, I was thinking that, but we have a ton more money coming off the books this year than we did when CC was a FA. Plus the fact that Mark A and Doug have seen for the past two years how atrocious going about pitching the way we have been has made their baseball experience lately.

Red Sox...because of how Yankee fans treated his wife in the ALCS. If I was Lee I would've made the phone call to the Red Sox myself and said what can you do for me. That's where I would go (all things being equal) to stick it to them on a yearly basis after that incident.
