Ubaldo Jimenez

0-3 | 6.14

Though he didn't capture his first win, Jimenez took strides toward regaining his 2010 form on Tuesday, when he allowed three runs in seven innings against the Giants, his longest outing of the season.

Randy Wolf

3-4 | 4.03

Wolf can't seem to get on the same page with young catcher Jonathan Lucroy, who made a series of mound visits in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers. It's not the reason for Wolf's recent funk, but it doesn't help.

If we have to drive through thunderstorms (again) to get home, let's at least see a good game first, Brewers. Thanks!
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Ah, Sunday B-Squad baseball. If one player could ever designate a B-Squad, it'd be Wil Nieves. I'll be at the ballpark today optimistically hoping the roof will be open with the Braun special. As long as this isn't another 4 and a half hour affair.

Lineup:

Weeks - Kotsay - Braun - Fielder - McGehee - Betancourt - Nieves - Gomez - Wolf

Ugh. 3-4 more Nieves plate appearances, I mean.......outs. It didn't even bother me that Rivera got the start when I was there Friday, but why is Nieves still getting starts?

And clearly, Wolf is going to have to get over whatever problems it is he has with Lucroy.

Honestly, I'm not that upset with Kotsay playing today. Hart hasn't been hitting at all the last few days, and could use a day off. I'm not a big fan of him in the 2 hole, but he's better than Gomez. Hate that Nieves is playing though. Might as well have started Counsell for Betancourt, and hit him 2nd and Kotsay 6th.

It's the Ned Yost Sunday lineup! No Counsell though, hmm...

No problem with Kotsay starting, but that stretch of Betancourt-Nieves-Gomez is ugllyyy.

Go Brewers!

Looks like Roenicke feels bad for Jimenez and wants to make sure he gets back on track. That lineup looks as bad as some of those lineups Seattle trots out. McGehee should probably bat 2nd and then Wolf could bat 5th and we could put the four replacement level hitters behind Wolf.

What a horrendous lineup. Betancourt, Nieves, Gomez is about the most pathetic group against Jimenez Roenicke could conjure up. Over/under on total bases for those three combined has to be 2.

Ya like the Kotsay start and in the 2. I was going to say, I feel like Gomez will put together an ok day today....then remembered it's Jimenez pitching. It could be ugly, but should be quick and painless. 3 whiffs and then sit down.

I could be wrong but sounds like BA is doing the subway series game today on TBS. Who does the Brewer game today?
I think Craig Coshun usually is in the booth while BA is doing TBS

This lineup on paper does sound atrocious but anecdotal evidence seems to support that this lineup will hit for double digit runs

Wolf looks a little all over the place so far.

It's probably Nieves' fault.

No, he probably still blames Lucroy for being in the ballpark.
