Just look at the difference in the depth of our lineup vs theirs. I don't think Willis looks all that good and yet we only have 4 maybe 5 guys who can make that even matter

Nice to see Gomez make his playing time pay off. I think he can be an effective part of this team in a platoon / late inning defensive or pinch running role

Scott Rolen is an All-Star? Hahahahahahahahaha. Last time I checked his stats they were not very good and he has been hurt a lot this season.

 

Such is the state of 3B in the post-steroid era.

I am listening to the game on the radio and not watching on tv. Have they shown Scarpetta yet? I'm wondering if he will be available if needed today and the JS made it sound like he would likely be there around gametime.

I like many get on Carlos for his offense, but boy there has never been a doubt that he is a pure joy to watch play CF.

That stretch of Gomez almost makes his earlier failings hurt more. When you know he's got the talent...

As long as he gets every start in CF against lefties and can come in as a late game defensive/pinch runner he is an integral part of this team.
