2011-08-01 Cardinals (Carpenter) at Brewers (Greinke) -- [Brewers win, 6-2]

[jjkoestler]

Uncle Kracker still makes music?

[jwill535]

I hope every one showered and shaves and but on a tie, so the classy team won't be upset.

keep'm tucked.

Can we bring back Mike Cameron to be honorary captain for these three games?

[dlk9s]

I hope every one showered and shaves and but on a tie, so the classy team won't be upset.

Now that you mention it, I'm a little surprised that the Cards allow facial hair, especially since the legendary Yankees don't.

[dlk9s]

Made me nervous for a second when Hart looked to see where Lopez was.

[ilovebeer]

Take a seat Fat Albert.

[jwill535]

Nice debut for Derek Lee, homers in his first at bat.

[dlk9s]

So Holliday struck out 3 times and GIDP against Dempster, yet starts out like that tonight. Perfect.

Made me nervous for a second when Hart looked to see where Lopez was.

I felt the same way. Sometimes I wonder if Corey isn't a little lazy. Maybe it's just me though.

And there goes Holliday. Crappy start.

[adamb100]

Not a good start.

[jjkoestler]

Not a good start.

[ilovebeer]

nooooooo

[owbc]

Same way the Cubs series started.

[Rob]

The amont of homeruns he has given up this year really makes me nervous.

[dlk9s]

From experience, I think we all know that 2-0 leads don't hold up in Brewers games.

[chuckcrim]

Greinke grooving pitches tonight. The one to Pujols was right down the pipe too.

[TonyGwynnJr22]

Keep grooving fast balls right down the middle.

[ilovebeer]

Nice Cory, 3 pitches and you strike out.

[jwill535]

Why anyone pitches anything but sliders off the plate to Cory is beyond me. It appears that he is sitting out side of the batters box with as far away his bat is from the ball on them.

[owbc]

I hate seeing the Red chicken pox in the Miller Park crowd.

[chickinbrickin]

There is that unlucky Greinke showing up. AKA belt high fast balls get hit hard Greinke

[MoreTrife]

i'm going to watch the upton hr off him to cheer me up

Greinke is one of those pitchers who proves that BABIP and K/BB aren't relevant peripheral stats to judge every pitcher based on. He's should be judged based on ERA/RA, and that's it. He refuses to risk walking even dangerous hitters after he's down in counts. It would behoove him to nibble and pitch backwards. Then he wouldn't be so predictable, and allow good hitters to get their timing right, and hammer the baseball.

[Tailgat0r76]

Why are there still so many people that misspell Corey Hart? He's been one of our star players for a few years now, at least learn how to spell his first name when complaining about him.

[jjkoestler]

ZG's stuff is filthy.

[jwill535]

sorry about that, I work with 2 Cory's, so its ingrained. With that said, the point still remains.
