I will be at a rooftop for the September 19th game. I'm not going to start looking that far ahead yet, but boy would that be awesome for the timing to work out right!

I will also be at the Marlins game in Milwaukee on Saturday Sept. 24th and am hoping that will be a meaningless game!

That also happens to be my birthday, so I would be very happy clinching that night.

I like listening to Matty V. and I also like the different perspective that this team gets when playing on Fox. Also, they bring out various stats I haven't seen before (that bullpen stat was amazing).

Huge fire in CF, somebody needs to call the fire department. Good thing the smoke is blowing the other way.

anybody got any screen captures of this fire? Just going with what Uecker and Provus have been saying.

It appears that cars on fire is not an unheard of event at citi field (circa 2008):

Without any other information, that is my guess as to the current fire.

Edit: Well, so much for the car in parking lot theory. It might still be a car, since it is apparently a junkyard.

My office is in Queens and you can see Citi Field out the window. There's a big junkyard out there, and occasionally they get those big, smoky tire fires going. I remember it at least once earlier this year. Isn't it lovely?

So there is a junkyard right behind Citi Field? How does that happen?
I kind of wondered that too. I suppose that's part of life in the City (or its environs).
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

"Chris, thank you for that firm grasp of the obvious. Now we know why you work in sports" ....this had me cracking up.

I was laughing too, but I guarantee that Chris Rose was not thrilled with the continued stabbing at him. It's still going on too.
