2011-10-01 Diamondbacks (Kennedy) at Brewers (Gallardo) - Brewers win, 4-1; Lead Series 1-0]

[moofnelson]

This is from JSonline's game blog: Betancourt pops up to second on the second pitch (not the first pitch this time).

I guess we're not the only ones that complain about Yuni.

[owbc]

Very happy with the way things are going so far. Yo is at his best. I think the offense will break through soon, but for now it is a classic ace vs. ace pitchers duel.

[moofnelson]

It's not a shadow that's creeping towards the mound, it's sunlight.

Actually, it's Braun's swagger.

[craigharmann]

Missed his spot with that pitch. Good job Braunie!

[craigharmann]

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEAST MODE!!!!!!!!

[Schlitz001]

That's the softest and most welcome double Prince will ever hit.

[bjkrautk]

2 on, no outs. Time to take the lead!

EDIT: Bases loaded; Rickie takes one for the team.

[ReverendBrewmeister]

Cue shot double for Prince. Tricky Beast Mode.

[jjfanec]

Lets go Weeks! Make him throw you a good pitch

[craigharmann]

Take one for the team, Rickie!!!

[fondybrewfan]

Blow it open; this could be the game right here

[burnzy24]

Come on JHJ!!!

[ReverendBrewmeister]

So here's why Roenicke put Hairston in the lineup. Time to pay off.

Edit: Sac fly is better than nothing.

[Funketown]

Ouch! Looks like that got his elbow, so hopefully that doesn't swell up too much and affect Rickie. There you go Hairston, great to see an early-ish lead.

[craigharmann]

THAT is fundamental baseball right there!

[Schlitz001]

1-0. That one is for you RR.

[moofnelson]

RR's best move of the year: not starting Mageehee.

[Gobias Industries]

K. I'll take that.

That a boy Hairston. Bout time we got one of those gritty professional hitters on our side.

[craigharmann]

Yay? Not sure how to feel about that.

[craigharmann]

How about loading them up for a Yo salami?

Or not

[ELCABALLO45]

K. I'll take that.

Craig Counsell is sad you forgot about him already.

[burnzy24]

Well earlier in the week we had bases loaded twice and no runs scored, so I will be happy with one run against Kennedy.

[fondybrewfan]

A run is a run I guess; that bottom of the order to going to have to do something eventually though

[ReverendBrewmeister]

Disappointing to get only one run. Needed to blow the game open when there was the chance.
