Hopefully this means Loe will not be used the rest of the series....

and Hart isn't a very good defensive player either.

Loe's not lights-out or anything but he can be an effective pitcher if used in the right situation. And really only 2 of the hits this inning were hit hard, one of which bounced off someone's glove.

I keep hearing the argument that instant replay will slow the game down. I don't see how. That call was obvious. It would have taken one view to see it, less than 30 seconds. Everyone watching on TV saw the replay less than 15 seconds after the call on the field was made.

They really need to expand instant replay to plays at first... even if a team is given challenges or something like that. With the slow-mo you can tell in no time what the correct call should be. I don't know about balls down the line, because that affects runners on base, and it's hard to tell where they'll end up.

I also agree that i don't care what any says their is no way i let Fat Albert beat us, RR wake up and let people talk if they want just don't let him beat us. RR this is not rocket science or even a Macho thing just don't let him beat us.
I love your posts.

But stopping him is easier said than done. The Brewers have generally been successful at getting him out this year.

Meanwhile, I'm ready to give up on this game. It's too bad for all the fans there tonight, but that's how the game goes.

this is about the time of the game where I turn the tv off and go do other things at work. Why even warm Hawkins up at this point? Might as well just let Loe stay in for mop up duty at this point.

The inning is still going...

And that's it for me...flipping this game off. Loe is BP tonight. Every seeing-eye single is finding a hole for STL...Yo, bring your A game on Wednesday!

Sidenote of positivity - maybe I'm the only one, but I think John Smoltz provides some nice pitching insights. Seems like he's on top of things.

Yeah and my point still stands. Most fans act like Loe is the worst pitcher in the world. He's not. He just should really only be used against righties and when you need ground balls. But most of the time, Roenicke doesn't pay attention to stuff like that so he gets lit up and fans hate Loe for it.

I hope the team gets boo'd off the field tonight

Haha you can't be serious.

I think he is. Some games you just don't have luck on your side.

Alright, not our night. Am I crazy to think the Crew still has a shot to take this in St. Louis? Carpenter-Gallardo is now a huge pivot game, but after that it's Wolf-Lohse and then Greinke-Garcia again. None of those matchups is too scary to me.

This series is just getting started. I don't think many people thought there would be a 4-5 game set going on here. This thing is ticketed for 6 or 7, so get some runs, see some pitches, and get the heads screwed on straight for Wednesday.
