Yo! With all the things that have gone wrong for the Brewers so far today, that was HUGE for Yo to get out of that inning.

Can it rain for about 30 minutes now so we can all have a breather?

Smoltz is totally right. Gallardo's balance/mechanics are all sorts of off. I know what it's like, too. When I used to pitch, there was about one game per season where I felt totally off. I remember one where I felt off balance every pitch, yet somehow I only gave up 1 run. Maybe it made my delivery deceptive or something.

GIF or it didn't happen.

CANNOT BELIEVE WE PUT CARPENTER AND FURCAL ON AND GOT OUT OF THAT. WOW. CREDIT TO JAY, RR AND YO.

Yes! I know Yo doesn't necessarily have a great track record against Holliday, but with Pujols locked in like he is, you have to take your chances. Good IBB, good result. Even if it hadn't worked out, I think it's the right call.

Brewers, it's time to put your kill face on.

I'm impressed with how they've been able to keep the Cards off the board after the first. That outfield still scares the heck out of me though...

If nothing else, this game to this point has taught me to calm the heck down. I'm a smarter baseball fan than to be so reactionary. Most of us are. It's tough not to get hyped up sometimes, and since being in the NLCS is new to me I'm going to learn a bit about patience in these games.

I am still seething about Kotsay in CF and probably will be until we finally cut ties with him. I still say you don't give kids sharp objects to play with and you don't give a manager poor veterans to play with. On the other hand at no point have I thought this was a lost game. I still though we could win this game.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I'm ready to back to panic mode now.
I'm not going to lie. I was freaking out during the first inning (and hence made the wise decision not to post here at the time).

This tweet from (of all places) Miller Park Drunk made me feel a little better:

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Glorious. There are no words.

Kotsay is currently ranked #3 player of the day on ESPN's daily rankings behind Brandon Inge & Daniel Murphy. Guess I should point out that is formula driven based on his HR/BB, and doesn't account for baserunning miscues or poor outfielding.

Corey has been in a funk. Someone had a topic on him being the key to the playoffs and he's been outhit by Yuni by a lot.
