MLB "vehemently disagrees" with the decision according to Knobler

There will be a large contingency that will still believe Braun was juicing. Hell, we still don't know the details of what went down with the testing, etc.

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

I hope Braun rains hell on them for even putting him through this. Disagree all they want, but they potentially cost him tens of millions of dollars, even with the successful appeal. This won't be the end of it.

If I had Braun's pee in my fridge I'd tell everybody.

Wow, what a surprise! I was very pessimistic about how this would turn out.

Still nothing on ESPN.com . Guess that they are either trying to wipe egg from their faces or are too busy reporting on 'Linsanity' and the Brady Quinn's war of words with Tim Tebow. Probably a bit of both.

YESSS!!!!!! This is amazing! bring on the season!
"I wish him the best. I hope he finds peace and happiness in his life and is able to enjoy his life. I wish him the best." - Ryan Braun on Kirk Gibson 6/17/14

TH's blog say he won on a "technicality" and not necessary that the result of the test was wrong. I have no freaking idea what that even means but I suppose it would leave open the possibility for people to still think he juiced and just hired a good lawyer.

I see no coverage on MLB.com as of now

They just posted a statement by MLB saying they vehemently disagree with the arbitrators decision so it is definitely for real.

Statement from MLB Executive Vice President for Labor Relations Rob Manfred:

“Major League Baseball considers the obligations of the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program essential to the integrity of our game, our Clubs and all of the players who take the field. It has always been Major League Baseball’s position that no matter who tests positive, we will exhaust all avenues in pursuit of the appropriate discipline. We have been true to that position in every instance, because baseball fans deserve nothing less.

“As a part of our drug testing program, the Commissioner’s Office and the Players Association agreed to a neutral third party review for instances that are under dispute. While we have always respected that process, Major League Baseball vehemently disagrees with the decision rendered today by arbitrator Shyam Das.”

Here is MLB's official statement:

The appeal was held by a third party and Major League Baseball is not happy. Here's the statement released by MLB executive vice president for labor relations Rob Manfred:

Never wavered on you Braunny!!! I'm not happy with MLB "vehemently disagreeing" with this... this will only lead to further skeptics on the matter, saying "Braun's still guilty".

WAY TO GO #8!!!!! YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't care what the technicality is, probably MLB's way of covering its butt, Braun's going to be in the lineup Opening Day, that's all that matters. If he never tests positive again people will forget this eventually.

From ESPN.com:

"National League MVP Ryan Braun has won the appeal of his 50-game suspension by a 2-1 vote by an arbitration panel, Major League Baseball announced Thursday."

Boy, that's quite a story after dragging him through the mud for months and going on record as saying he should give back his MVP.

"The most successful (people) know that performance over the long haul is what counts. If you can seize the day, great. But never forget that there are days yet to come."
