How much longer does Lucroy have to waste away in the 8th spot? He has more home runs and the same amount of RBI as our clean up hitter. Not saying he should bat clean up, but he needs to bat ahead of Gonzalez.

 

A little nervous about Pomeranz. We all know how the Brewers hit guys with little to no big league experience.

At some point how good a guy is at clearing the pitcher is irrelevant. Makes zero sense to have one of your better hitters in the 8th spot.

 

On another note, I am hoping Wily gets a shot to come out of the pen tonight. Haven't seen him pitch since his days in Appleton with the T-Rats.

Pretty sure he'll be pitching. Estrada should be on a fairly strict pitch count and they don't want to go Johnny Bullpen and wear everyone out. Unless Estrada can go 7 innings with 70 pitches, we'll likely see Wily

I'm not saying this because I think brewers fans complain about lineups too much (I think every fan complains about lineups too much, myself included)....but the next time you're upset about the brewers lineup just remember: NED YOST IS BATTING YUNI LEADOFF TONIGHT.

This strike zone is terrible, that first curveball to Gonzalez was called a ball but was clearly a strike, and the second curveball was called a strike and looked like a ball.

I think that the FSN guns are a tad fast. At any rate, 91/92 is on the low end of an average MLB fastball. These guys are getting blown away like they are facing a young Nolan Ryan or something. It's one thing to get shut down by a guy with average stuff, it's another thing to not even be able to make contact.

No it isn't. The top starters average 92-93. Most guys average less than that. Yeah relievers throw harder but a starter consistently bringing it at that pace is a fine fastball
