I hate this team right now. Glad I'm going to watch the T-Rats play tomorrow and sold the Brewer tickets.

Be happy you got money for the Brewer tickets at this point. And send a fruit basket to the person you sold the tickets to.

I feel like I used to have more tolerance for watching losing baseball. I've been spoiled in recent years.

The season is young and our pitching can't stay this bad all year. Can it?

Greinke is gone, no way he will sign with this mess of a team...

So, we traded away some great farmhands for 2 years of Greinke and Marcum.

I sure hope Peralta and Thornburg prove to be our saviors, or we will be in some trouble and soon.

Please, do not sign Marcum to a 3 year deal that cripples us. My fear is that when Greinke blows us off, we go straight to Marcum and overpay him.

Not that it matters much, but Braun beat that throw easily...just another exhibit in the growing gallery of MLB umpire incompetence.

It really does seem worse this year.

You may run like Mays...

Facing Komatsu again....

Komatsu was waived by the Cardinals this season, and he was the #3 prospect in our minor league system last season. That's depressing, as if today hasn't been depressing enough.

Encouraging to see a scoreless, relatively-worry-free inning from Axford, at least.

I appreciate how positive you are.

Edit: not sarcasm.

First base ump called Ishikawa safe when he was out, and last inning called Braun out when he was safe.

Maybe he'll get one right by dumb luck eventually.

Most of my optimism these days is rooted in my belief that the Brewers as we see them today won't be the same group of players we'll see a month from now. But I've always had more faith in Melvin & Co. than some.

Most of the runs being given up lately have been by the Chulks and Dillards of the world, guys who'll be replaced before long. Guys like Conrad and Izturis won't be around all year, either. Then again, I never expected 90+ wins this year. I felt like this was an 85-win (give or take a couple in either direction) team, and as long as that's still plausible I'm not going to get too far down. Although it's been painful to watch at times this past week.

And who is going to replace him?

Just wondering who you think Izturis is going to be replaced by when you say he won't be around all year. There is no one better in the system to replace him, and if they're not contending it really wouldn't make much sense to go seek a SS in trade.

I'd love to share your confidence, but guys like Chulk and Dillard are here because we don't have anyone better to replace them, not because they are temporarily fill-ins on a 15 day DL. Sure, Conrad will be gone, but guys like Ishikawa, Dillard, Izturis, etc, are more than likely here for the long haul. Pretty much what we see is what we get right now. I don't know what you mean when you say this isn't the same group of players that we'll see a month from now, because what we have out there is basically the best we have right now and I don't know who would be coming in other than Gomez, to replace anyone else.

Our 1-3 hitters have 7 hits tonight, and we have 3 runs.

Go figure.

Do we honestly not have someone in AAA capable of outperforming Chulk? His ERA is now into the double digits.

I was at the T-Rats game so I didn't watch what Chulk did, but I'd love to see Henderson get a shot.

Attendance of just 32,000 tonight. If this team can't turn around quickly, we're going to continue to see more empty seats...

I don't even recall seeing the attendance mentioned tonight but its entirely possible I missed it due to making a beer run to numb the feeling of losing.

They had the "guess tonight's attendance" in the mid-8th as usual.

This was tough to sit through. Taking a 7th inning walk and exchanging snark with thablingster helped distract me from the Chulk outing, but man. I felt especially bad for Manny Parra, who really didn't need a five (six?) out inning.

The Brewers are utterly without mojo. Where did it go? It can't have all been Prince.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
