Cutoff date for super 2 revised and Lucroy is going to be short a couple days

As an act of good faith, I believe the Brewers should offer him some sort of incentive based bonus to get him back those 2 million. You have to keep your core players happy.

I'm all for saving money, but in this case, I'd have rather seen Luc qualify for super-two.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

A full season is defined as 172 days of service; a tie-breaker wouldn't change that.

Per Cot's

5 years/$11M (2012-16), plus 2017 club option

signed extension with Milwaukee 3/26/12, replacing 1 year deal signed 3/12

$0.5M signing bonus

12:$0.5M, 13:$0.75M, 14:$2M, 15:$3M, 16:$4M, 17:$5.25M club option ($0.25M buyout)

if Lucroy qualifies as a Super 2 after 2012 season, salaries increase to $1.9M in 2013, $2.3M in 2014, $3.3M, $4.25M in 2015

limited no-trade protection

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Braun bypassed Super 2 and went directly to Super 8!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Milwaukee catcher Jonathan Lucroy missed by three days, costing him $2 million. If had been arbitration-eligible, his contract called for his 2013 salary to escalate from $750,000 to $1.9 million, for his 2014 and 2015 pay to rise by $300,000 a year and for 2016 to go up by $250,000.

Others eligible this winter in the so-called Super 2s group are .......Milwaukee closer John Axford;.....

As much as I'd like to say it would be a nice act to just give him some additional incentives to earn it, the line in the sand has to be drawn somewhere. Don't want to set a precedent.
