Pirates might need to upgrade their defense behind the plate..........every single or walk is a double for the crew.

I can't remember a team this bad at throwing out runners.....Helps that the Brewers have 5 guys who can really run.

The Brewers have treated the Pirates like little leaguers this year with all the stolen bases

Yeah, I was just gonna post that this is reminiscent of the reason that some kid's leagues don't allow steals.

Braun just 3 SB away from being ninth player in 40/30 club in baseball history! (eleventh such season)

Yo and Wily are saying "we don't need no stinking Greinke"!

And Brauny might get 30-30 yet. Hell, he might get it tonight at this rate. :laughing

There are three things America will be known for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music and baseball. They're the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced. Gerald Early

Weeks probably should have just taken one there. He had the play right in front of him. Hard to fault the guy for believing in his ability to make the play, though.

I am also excited, so this isn't meant to sound negative, but...

It wasn't too long ago that we were all convinced that Fiers was the second coming, now that he has cooled, Peralta has taken over the role of the chosen one... My point is, all these young guys are going to have ups and downs to their season.

We can't realistically expect Fiers, Peralta and Rogers to fullfill the expectations that surely will be placed on them next season. They are going to have their rough patches, that goes without saying, so we need to remember that.

I am not in the Estrada can come in and be our #2 camp either, not #3, and not a #4 either.

I for one would still love to entertain the idea of bringing Greinke back as I think we are still going to be short reliable starting pitching next season.

We will have Yo, but after him, there are still a lot of questions to be answered...

Carry on!

True, although Fiers was a 27-year-old non-prospect drafted in the 22nd round, while coming into this season Peralta was a 22-year-old widely considered one of the better pitching prospects in baseball.

The last (and only) player with 40 HR and 30 SB to lead the league in RBI was... Hank Aaron for the 1963 Milwaukee Braves.
