He basically said he could play, but would be hurting the team (link). He partially tore his plantar fascia in his left foot, not sure how you can hold him accountable for it not being healed yet.

Its pointless to DL Hart anymore but this sure seems like it might keep him from playing for the rest of the year. Kind of hard to play effectively when you can't run at all. I don't know how you could even expect him to pinch hit.

It seems like Lucroy has been really unclutch these last few weeks. Sure he had a hit in the Braves series that (IIRC) drove in a run, but it just seems like when he is in 'the spot' to make something happen i.e. the catalyst for a big inning, he hasn't delivered.

Yeah this is really sad. What kind of message does that send the team? I didn't realize Corey's injury was that severe.. I think my dig on him was based on injuries the past couple of years. They just seemed to linger
