He was safe but the umpire handed out his own justice for slowing down. I don't like it and I don't like it when the umpires do the same thing on people who don't slide. You are either safe or out. They do the same thing on great plays as well.

You want to say Segura needs to run it out all the way but in practice it's assumed that if the on-deck guy isn't there signalling for it, there isn't a play. What was Lucroy doing this whole time?

GoGo has a 14 game hitting streak right now, and during the streak he's batting a whopping .471 with 6 doubles, a triple and 4 home runs.

 

Should Roenicke maybe consider moving him up in the lineup? Or do you not miss with a good thing?
