What's bugging you? (2012)

Last week, on July 31, we saw a Halloween Express in a strip mall along Blue Mound Road.

Those type of stores are popping up around Phoenix already too. Walgreens usually rolls out their Christmas products right after Halloween

i'm applying for a full-time position at a job where i'm already working part-time. it seems i may have just ruined my chances tonight because a coworker is convinced i did something i certainly did not do, and who was visibly angry with me all night.

i truly did a good job tonight, but regardless, i was sent home (not fired, just sent home) looking like a fool.

Static stuff on web pages bugs me, especially when it covers up content.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Sleeping awkwardly on my hair and waking up with that sore spot on my scalp that will last 3 days. Am I the only one that gets this?

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

Forgive my ignorance, but how does that happen?

I'm not sure at all. I think it's a short-haired person's issue. It seems like if my head is pushing my hair against the grain (so to speak) for a long time during the night, it really irritates my scalp. It's a strange pain. Almost shooting and pretty intense. I feel like a wuss saying my hair hurts, but it's painful.

If you buzz or shave your hair, try aloe on your scalp before you sleep.

I have short hair, and have never experienced that of which you speak...

Does not sound pleasant though.

No intention at all of making this any type of political discussion...but people who wave political posters, banners, etc (regardless of who it's for - democrat, republican, whoever) on overpasses or near freeways, especially during rush hour or heavy traffic times. I'm not sure what upsets me more, the people who do this or the people who, for some reason, feel the need to slow because of this.

Happened on the way to the Badger game today. As always the case, traffic cleared up as soon as we got past it....I don't get that at all. Are people really that easily distracted? They really need to slow down because of this?

I suppose all it takes is one vehicle to slow down and the chain reaction gets going.

My bug is simple today. Last night, the neighbor behind us, whose backyard butts up against ours, had their regular party. They'll have a bunch of people over, be loud, and play their Mexican music nice and loud. All this is good and fine, however, I have a 3 year old and a 9 month old, and this regularly continues past 2 AM. So, of course, not much sleep was had at my house. As far as I can tell, the 3 year old slept, but the 9 month old, who has issues with sleeping, definitely didn't. My wife called the non-emergency police number at about 1:30, and that seemed to help. But, of course, they leave their bright back patio light on, which shines right into the girls' room. I can't wait to buy my own house so that I can pick what neighborhood I am in and find neighbors that have younger children!!

Not necessarily. Because just like when traffic slows down because of an accident that is on the other side of the freeway (another pet peave of mine). Once the accident clears up, the traffic slowly starts moving along again at normal speeds. One driver slowing down may momentarily cause a traffic slow down..but not a long term situation.

I've had issues with sleeping since my crib days (so my mother assures me), and one thing that helps me is blackout shades on the bedroom windows. If an extra curtain rod doesn't work because you're renting, there are blackout panels that clip onto regular curtains. Something that generates white noise sometimes helps me too. Though, yeah, those neighbors would drive me crazy too, and I wouldn't have given them until 1:30 to call authorities.

i just bought a cheap, black bedsheet and nailed it over my window (obviously i rent). not quite as effective as blackout curtains, though.

Since the title of this thread is "what's bugging you," I feel the need to share what is bugging me.

I don't mean to offend anyone here, but people who wear packer jerseys to church on Sunday mornings, really annoy me.

Along with that, people who wear ripped jeans, flip-flops, t-shirts with screened designs on the front, or any combination of what I just mentioned, to church on Sunday mornings bothers me.

For me personally, Sunday morning church is supposed to be a little more formal than Saturday evening services, When people wear jeans to church on Saturdays, it doesn't bother me at all.

Must be the old school in me, but a lot of people really do not dress respectfully at church anymore.

Thanks for listening.

I work for a very small company (6 FT employees) and this is 2 years in a row that they barely acknowledge my birthday. Everybody in the past has at least gotten a card and a small gift card. This year like last year, I received nothing. Now granted I'm not a big birthday person, but still.

The Timber Rattlers playing a day game Thursday for the Championship series. Impossible for me to make the game with a 12:05 start.

Their attendance is going to take a huge hit, but to be honest, their attendance at all the home playoff games has been pathetic. A little bit embarrassing when compared to their regular season attendance.

Well, I'll wish you a happy birthday...possibly belated.
