What's bugging you? (2009)

My little 12 year old cousin got a cell phone for some reason, and I am her favorite big cousin. She left me 15 voicemails over the weekend, and this was after I talked to her Friday afternoon.

Mary Ann Scafitti (spelling?)

She seems like a nice enough person, but I'm getting kind of tired of seeing her every other commercial (if you live in the Milwaukee area - you know what I'm talking about).

Yesterday's Boston Marathon wasn't televised. That bugged me.

The quality of the webcast left much to be desired. So much for the latest technology. That bugged me.

A couple of the more entertaining races in recent years I barely could make out is bugging me.

Today's rain-snow (it's a combo of both, a very wet snow) and the mess its turning my yard into.

My sister-in-law ran the Boston Marathon and beat my personal best by 59 seconds.

Having to train like crazy for a few months to improve upon my personal best really bugs me...

I'm not sure if I'm smart enough to operate this Blackberry Pearl I picked up Tuesday.
The way you phrased that makes it sound like you just found a Blackberry Pearl on the street. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Though that really amuses me more than bugs me.

The hotel that I am in has HBO but it only works sporadically. This bugs me...LOTS!

Connie and Fish. They bug me. A LOT! I usually listen to Bob & Brian in the morning. When they go to commercial break, I jump around on the radio dial. I'll tune to JJO next. If they are at commercial, I'll end up at Connie & Fish.

Within 2 minutes of listening to them, I am angry and literally yelling at the radio. They are unfunny. They make me angry. Their callers make me angry. They usually ruin my morning. I don't understand why they are so popular, and why they got syndicated in Milwaukee.

There was a great line in The Onion in the early 1990s skewering Z-104. I can't type it here, but it summed up my feelings about WZEE nicely.

My day today...that bugs me. Not only was my ipod stolen at the crappy hotel that I was in but then I was in a "car accident" on the way home. Some moron trucker that did had loose crap on the back of his truck lost a piece of metal and it sliced my bumper in half...all the way in half. Luckily it was not through the windshield! Good thing that I got his license plate number...

My car being broken again.

People who walk on the street instead of the sidewalk.

People who bike on a very busy Willy St/Monroe St (in Madison), when there is a bike path less than a block away.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that notices this or is annoyed by this. I'll never understand it.

What's bugging me today? Hold music. It's usually some light, maybe jazzy, soothing music. The purpose is to calm the caller who probably has some sort of billing or service issue and is now annoyed by the fact that he or she has to be put on hold. I wonder how much research has gone into the exact type of music to play when a person is put on hold. When I get put on hold, and I hear this music, I get more annoyed because I know what they are trying to do by piping this calming, soothing music into my ears. Sorry, I'm staying angry. Your Jedi mind games will not work on me.

Patrick - seconded on the hold music. Personal gripe: the hold music for our company while waiting for a phone meeting to start can only be described as robot porno. Anybody whose ever heard this will know.

Managers who keep repeating "these are tough times, this is hard for all of us, etc etc etc" when they're not the ones who will be out on their ass in 2 months.

Along the same lines, I'm going to be running the Bay to Breakers in about 2 1/2 weeks but have been hampered by injuries the last few weeks...right now I can't even go two miles without my LCL starting to get really sore and painful.

Very frustrating since I've been looking forward to this for a while.

Announcers who use the phrase "a year ago" to refer to the entire previous season. "This kid had 22 homers a year ago." Really? 22 home runs by April 28th, 2008? That's amazing.

Too many people walk around Miller Park as if they don't realize that anyone else is walking around Miller Park. This includes those who cross the "main flow" of the crowd, like getting from the seating area to the restrooms and concessions. People need to turn their heads a bit and see what others are trying to do.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Here's the scenario. You're at a store and there's a couple registers open with long lines. A third register opens up and the cashier says, "I can help someone over here." A person just walking up jumps in ahead of people who've been waiting and gets the immediate checkout.

That's happened twice in the last month, and it bugs me.

Those Charles Schwab commercials where people are depicted as cartoons. (I guess that's how to explain it.) I really hate those commercials.

A person I know plays both sides of the fence like nothing I've ever seen.

(on the phone with Steve)...."Hey Steve, yeah, I know, Bob sucks. Yeah, we'll have to do something about him, I'm sure glad you're around."

(turns to me)..."That was that loser, Steve...he's a nice guy, but...."

I hate weasels....they bug me.

This happens in most public places. With the insane usage of cell phones and all the other little gadgets people like to play with, everybody is too busy talking, texting, tweeting, checking email, shuffling their ipod (and whatever else) and not considering anything else around them.

I'm right there with ya. Especially the one where the yuppie uncorks the wine.
