Villar to Gomez is a good comparison on the frustration front. Gomez figured some things out eventually at the plate, but he never quite figured out the base running part of the game. Yes, he was fast, but made horrible decisions almost an exact duplicate of Villar.

There is only so much that can be excused before he has to buy some bench time. Seemed to help last year a little bit, why not take care of it earlier in the season rather than waiting until after the all star break.

Maybe we can trade Thames for Scooter
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Great, tomorrow the Brewers face Sal Romano, making his major league debut... We do not fare well against guys making their first major league start.

Why did the Reds pull their starter after one inning?

Strained left lat muscle.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Eric Thames is the 1st player in @Brewers history with 5 HR in his 1st 10 games with the team.

Thames tied for 2nd in the NL in dingers.

Tied for first in the AL? Khris Davis.

I have no idea how posters here can continue excuse his utter stupidity on the bases by saying, "well, he does some good things." Obviously he does good things but when he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again that are 99% mental something has to be done. Maybe a benching will do something but it obviously hasn't stuck from the last time he was benched. What really needs to happen is a veteran needs to pull him aside and jack him up. Braun is really the only veteran on the team left and he's probably the one that's being hurt the most by Villar's brain gaffes but he doesn't seem to have that personality.
