Thought it was pretty clear. Not have fans give him a standing ovation because he said a bunch of racist and homophobic crap. Because that's exactly what they were clapping for.

 

So "I'll do what I want" applies to you and how you feel they should handle the situation, but does not in fact apply to the fans in attendance.

I think people who go out and get hammered at bars are stupid. That doesn't mean I don't think they can do it if they want to.

All giving him a standing ovation did was create a solid avenue of more railing of Josh Hader by other fan bases and a bunch of articles/posts from popular people everywhere.

 

If one wanted to support Hader and make things better/easier for him doing nothing would have been the best avenue in my opinion. We make a big deal about it and everyone else will. All I am saying is a standing ovation just keeps the whole thing going and Hader probably would like everyone to just drop the topic positively and negatively. Get back to just pitching well, getting strikeouts, and conditioning his hair.
