Freddy has had a lot more than a couple oops games. He is very fortunate they have stuck with him in the rotation this long especially given his tendency for control problems.

Two game giving up 7 runs. One giving up 4. Otherwise 3 runs or less in the rest of his starts. “Couple” seems like the right word to me.

He's also had many, many more opportunities than Woodruff for some reason.

Gah I hate Scooter Gennett.

13 starts for Freddy. 12 for Woody plus 8 relief appearances.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I’m done wasting my time with this garbage.

Thankfully the Badgers and Packers start soon.

It is sad, but true. This team is just not entertaining to watch. Day after day after day. This is my first year watching the Badgers weekly (starting dating a huge Badgers fan) so that should be nice.

I miss fun wins that weren’t huge disasters we feel lucky to win.

Counsell all the right moves in the first half. All the wrong moves in the second half.

Woodruff has been bounced back and forth over two seasons, while Freddy has been given a game every 5 days. And after tonight's stinker, their stats are going to look pretty dang similar.

If Soria and Hader are giving up rockets what would you suggest he do?

Counsell had to rush Hader into the game but no excuses he didn't get it done. Counsell has done a bad job in my opinion since May but the guy is basically out of options. Stearns has left the guy out to dry.

sorry but you guys damm him for not using his top relievers and when he does and the bomb you still blame him. i fell into the brewer trap of them being a half season team.

Doing nothing, other than Chacin, to address the starting rotation has had a domino effect.

Exactly. He isn't ready. Should be pitching in AAA.

Tonight, 4 IP, 5 ER. He's had an outing of 4 IP, 1 ER, with 4 walks and 3 hits where he was very fortunate on the runs total. 3 IP 7 ER on August 10th. 6 IP 7 ER on July 25th. 3.2 IP 3 ER on July 11th.

He's had 5 clunkers in his last 8 outings. 2 good outings his last 8. Absolutely should not be in the rotation especially when you consider he's 22 and his control isn't refined.

Again his move was inflated tonight because his GM thought having four number 5 starters in the rotation would suffice throughout the duration of a 162 game season.

I don’t remember the last time he managed a game with a commanding lead from start to finish.

The Joey Vottless reds have scored 16 runs in 16 innings vs what is supposed to be a playoff team.

Is it ok to swear now? Surely even the mods must recognize this is swear worthy? Blue.

Tonight, didn’t need to go to the pen in the 5th. I’m even willing to guess Hader didn’t warm up that long. Players are the ones who need to come through but CC hasn’t put his team in a great position lately either.

Think Craig made the right move there, Hader just missed his spots and the Reds 2 best hitters made him pay.

Still alot of game left, but man, that inning was just a huge punch to the gut.

Agreed.
