Let Gio pitch. He’s fine. Need to get more out of him.

Yea, combination of the bottom of their order and the arms that might be unavailable from our pen today. We need some innings.

24 balls, 28 strikes is not ideal (especially for Gio)

Zeros up on the scoreboard.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Why are we trying to take Gio out? A long start would be nice if we have a play in

Sure, but I'd like to make sure it stays that way :)

I'm fine with sticking with Gio on a short leash, but he's not fine today. Can't throw the curve for a strike. Giving up some hard, long outs. He's been fortunate, but luck won't last forever.

Score like 9 runs here, please.

Cubs tie the Cards, exactly why we need Gio to keep going. Could very well need the arms tomorrow.

Well, we still need to win, too. But the more we score the easier it is to ride Gio as long as possible.

Yes. We panic too much. Need more outs from starters.

Well we better just go crazy. If we have to bleed the pen for Game 163 and lose that wasting more relievers the WC is going to be a nightmare of a situation compared to just getting rest tomorrow.
