NCAA Tournament

This Badgers game is one of the worst officiated games I have seen in a long time. Should be at least six more fouls on Oregon, including a technical for the crap that Amin pulled in the first half. Then this charge on Happ... complete garbage, worse than the blocking call on Davison in the first half.

Shooting an airball and then being the first to grab it is still traveling right?

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

The only thing worse than the refs in that game was the Badgers. They stopped showing replays of the bad calls and they should have just discontinued the telecast entirely

Personally I shut it off with 3:30 to go.

Unfortunately, that was when I turned it on. :( Then I turned it off about two minutes later. Blah.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Yep. Uneventful to say the least.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I hate Duke.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

I have no idea how that last tip in attempt by UCF didn't fall. Those were two fantastic looks at the end, and neither went.

I have no idea how that push in the back on Duke's missed free throw wasn't called.

Oh yeah, because they're Duke.

Watching this play in game and this one coach is spending a lot of time standing on the court. It has me wondering, what happens if an opposing teams player accidentally, or "accidentally", runs into him? Is it a play on, a technical, or some other penalty?

2000 WIAA state championship game. Racine Case player makes a steal and goes up court and the Bay View coach steps in to knock the ball away. Bench Technical.

That Virginia Purdue game was a barn burner. Love March Madness.

This tourney has had some good games but not a lot of drama in the way of Cinderella teams. I know this is the Red Raiders first final four but they are a 3 seed and a really good team this year, plus Gonzaga just has a habit of choking in the tourney more often than not so that really wasn't all that unexpected. Really looking forward to another final four with Duke and Kentucky.... (Blue)

Thank you Auburn and Michigan State! Going back and looking, 2015 was the last time either Duke or Kentucky was in the Final Four. They were both in that year. After listening to the post game show, Kentucky fans are not all happy with that! A few were quite emotionally distraught! :laughing

The fact you can punch a ball out of someone’s hand and get possession of it because “it rolled of their finger” is quite honestly the dumbest thing I have to occasionally witness. If you hit it out it should be out on you unless it clearly hit a different body part or they try to regain possession on it.

What a dumb way to basically end the game.

Agreed. Great example of when slowing the replay down as much as possible ruins the purpose.

Congrats to Virginia! Congrats to me for winning my office pool!

I'm so happy for Tony Bennett and his family. What a game and what a tournament run.

[Yes...the replay review overturn was dumb...]

I picked Virginia to win it all, the losing to a #16 seed to winning it all seemed destined to happen. Great storyline and it happened.

I was pretty confident Duke would miss the Elite 8 and it almost happened twice...still, they ended up disappointing regardless.
