The real tragedy of this season is that the Cubs aren't very good. It was a fairly easy year, compared to most, to keep our window cracked open with some elite players like Yelich and Hader. What a shame.

So true.

I could care less about the media and players/coaches interactions. No one is going to give the media anything worthwhile. You usually have to take quotes with a grain of salt

But for just this one time I don’t think it would be out of line for a reporter to ask counsell. “Why does your team suck? “Why do all the moves you make suck this year?” Usually that would be some jerk reporter baiting. But I think it’s actually a legitimate question

I would love to see counsell. Get all pissy or actually answer the question. Either or but I wouldn’t mind seeing a meltdown. It’s kind of like when the significant other screams. “Hate me, yell at me, do something. Just show that you care”. Or whatever is read in that month’s Cosmopolitan

Or find a reason to yell and spit at home ump and get tossed out but a team that doesn't bunt won't matter anyway.

How are the Timber Rattlers doing this season?

They might be a better bargain at this point.

The Brewers look dead!

Stearns needed to fill some holes in the bullpen when Knebel and Jeffress were injured. Stearns went way too long with Shaw instead of Hiura. Stearns threw Domingo Santana away for a career backup. Stearns let Miley go for nothing. We let Derek Johnson go to a division rival after he did a masterful job with our pitching staff last season.

Go Timber Rattlers!

Freaking Cubs just put 2 on Castillo and lead 3-1 now. Here we go again with that team having a horse shoe up their asses.

Wait what? The Cubs have a +64 run differential and are only 6 games over .500. The Brewers are at -26 and somehow are a game above .500.

The Brewers are fortunate to only be 2.5 games back with the way the 2 rosters have played. Implying that the Cubs have been lucky is the opposite of reality.

Can we please stop with the silly Cubs watch already?

They're not even the only team in the Central we're looking up at, and there will be more if this play continues.

The Cubs can lose every game the rest of the season and it is of no benefit to us if we continue to play like we have for the last 6 weeks.

Well that would guarantee the Brewers win at least 13 more times this season and they’d finish ahead of the Cubs. :)

Not just “at Night” anymore.

They were fine in April and May though, and then just like that, everything went to hell. It's unusual, usually you see it happen to one or the other...either the Pitching goes, or the hitting goes, not usually both at the same time. I mean what changed once June came?? They were 10 games over...everything wasn't perfect, but they were working enough to get them 10 games over.

And this is the million dollar question! These guys are much better than the way they have been playing since June came. Even Yelich is starting to strike out too much. Until they figure it out we will be sellers come the trade deadline. It is all so sad... :(
