This game brought to you by the law offices of Anderson and Gray. One call, that's all.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

It feels like the Pirates and Cardinals play every day doesn't it?

And they should. That’s what the world needs. It’s what the world wants

Pirates. Cardinals. Two teams enter. One team leaves

At this point, it’s hard to imagine anyone voting Bellinger over Yelich for MVP. He’s beating him in pretty much everyone category now.

The only thing is bellinger plays on a better team. Sometimes that sways the voters.

All except the good ol' team record, which actually says Bellinger is less valuable since his team is so loaded they would still be the best in the NL without him, which will be used as reason to put him over the edge.

The logic of a better team improving your chances of winning MVP makes no sense. Take away Bellinger the Dodgers still would win the West. Take away yelich the Brewers wouldn’t even contend...how is that more valuable?

War does have Bellinger ahead of Yelich so it isn't like Yelich is ahead in everything

I did say almost everything...and WAR isn’t the God of statistics like everyone makes it out to be.

It does tel you there may be things Yelich isn’t actually better in.

No but it does factor in defense and position someone plays. That is where Bellinger comes out ahead. Now I think Yelich is better but just saying Bellinger has a good argument. I also think Bellinger will fade down the stretch offensively and Yelich wont

Bellinger is going to win the MVP. They polled a good number of people at the break and it was Bellinger by a landslide and the stats weren’t that far off. Yelich has closed the gap a bit, but it is a solid sign Yelich will have to undeniably be better to win.

That Grateful Dead tribute night is going to be great because all the players are going to be high. Aguilar is going to eat 50 bags of gummy bears. Cain is going to be sitting in the outfield laughing uncontrollably. Braun is going to climb halfway up the foul pole and when he sees the people up there will jump because he's frightened and will be caught in a blanket by Counsell, Sedar and Yelich.

Extremely thoughtful, really really funny take. Good job.
