Shoulda mentioned before the double.... but we a pinch runner for Grandal made sense when he was on 1st and still does with him on 3rd. Put Shaw in at 1st for the 9th.

You weren't kidding. Holy cow is that guy slow. What was Counsell thinking?

Who would you have put in?

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Probably that he only had Shaw or a balky back Yelich to run? Unless we know for sure a pitcher is faster?

Travis Shaw gets HBP.

BA: “Huge break for the Brewers”

I guess I usually listen to the radio or have the tv on in the background.. but it seems like BA is really on top of his game with the semi sarcastic disses lately.

Hard to believe there isn't a single pitcher on the team faster than Grandal.

Grisham is really exciting. You can tell just by looking at him that he's got some growing up to do still(physically). This might just be the tip of the iceberg.

I agree 100 percent. It's early of course but we really need someone of his skill set. Now if only Ray could get it together.

Why was Shaw just standing out there between 1st and 2nd? Was that an intentional play to try to sneak in a runner? Otherwise it's very baffling.

Technically it is obstruction if you're in the Baseline without the baseball and the runner has to alter his route.

But that was kind of weak.

Huge break. That was awful baserunning by Shaw. And good to see Grisham knew to immediately break for home when he saw Shaw in the rundown.
