Playing Hiura for his bat is balanced out a little if you play Arcia as a plus defender with plus range. Playing Hiura and Perez next to each other is death if they don’t hit. Perez an ok defender but not huge range.

Mark it 0 for 5. Nothing like a date with the Brewers offense to cure whatever ails a struggling scrub lefty starter.

At least this one took a good play

I mean sure, but it was just a little dribbler that almost found a hole. Not like he smoked one to the gap and was robbed by a diving catch.

At this point I think it’s time to agree we suck against lefties.

I brought that up earlier and was lambasted. It's 100% the truth, though. This lineup may have been balanced in theory, but it has never advanced beyond theoretical. They are facing a guy who has struggled for two months right now, and are looking horrible. Two days after being shut-out by an actual decent lefty. Yeah, that's an issue.

Is there a more blah offensive player this season than Cain? No pop low ob little speed. Him leading off this season has to have cost the brewers a couple games this season easy.

Not too mention at home as well.

I think I would just pull Chase at this point and try for something bigger here. He’s only likely to go one more inning even by staying in here.

EDIT: Or lay down a likely DP bunt so the Twins will commit an error.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I was bashed on this issue real early this season. You could see it coming as soon as Aguillar went south but some here were slow on the acknowledgement.
