Hiura just made an incredible play like an inning before, and that was a tough play and he doesn't have a strong arm. Kid gave it all he had and managed to make a strong throw right on the bag, just a tough hop for Thames. Not going to give him too much crap for that one (I'm not sure he has a strong enough arm for the out if he plants his feet and throws).

 

He's made plenty of horrible throws this year but not gonna lose too much sleep over that one.

Speaking as a guy who was never particularly talented as a ball player, watching supremely talented guys (and I consider Arcia talented, for all his struggles) not hustle has always been incredibly frustrating. Hustling is something every single player can do to improve performance. It’s inexcusable not to. Just my take, though.
