Garcia was another trash signing.

Based on 30 at bats???

He’s a career .270 hitter with good power and above average defense. He’s the best option we have in CF with Cain opting out. He’s played really well defensively this year. But yea, we should prolly freak out over the 30 AB.

Garcia is 29 and has had one good season, a couple of decent seasons, and a few pretty bad ones. At his best he’s nothing special, and he has looked pretty ordinary so far.

He isn't worth 10 million a season especially for a team with limited resources.

You are being generous. He had the one great season and was simply okay last year. Even last year he wasn’t even a .800 OPS corner outfielder. Other than those two years he has been terrible his entire career.

Crap. That one’s going to be overturned and the Reds are threatening to,put the game, out of reach.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I know angles and everything are different but am I the only one who gets bang-bang plays at 1st base right much more than the actual umpires?

We ragged on Hiura yesterday (myself included), so I’ll give him some credit for two solid defensive plays that inning.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

No, I think the exact same thing. I have done some umpiring though and I feel like it is 100x harder standing on the field so close. I always wish I could just umpire from the stands or from a screen. I think the same about home plate. Would probably be 100x easier to watch the video from CF and make calls (without the little strike zone box).

Surprised Gray is back out for the 6th. He hasn’t been great today, despite the lack of Brewers runs.

A promising start to the inning? We can’t screw this up can we?

Surprised Gray is still out there too...but isn’t their bullpen he problem?

This is how much I think of the Brewers this year. I only remembered they were playing now two hours after game time. On a Sunday.

And Pina is in the lineup....

The Brewers really need a 2 run homer. This lineup is going to have a really hard time stringing hits together, and isn’t good at making contact and advancing runners.

Distance and angle make a huge difference. I ref basketball and watch a ton of high school games in person and always feel I see more from the stands.

Piña cashes in on Gray’s 101st pitch of the day! Sonny pulled. Need to keep it going against the bullpen and put up a big number this inning.

I’m with you on that. More often than not on those types of plays, I tend to get them right more than the umpires as well. The angle could definitely play a role in it.

No win for you, Sonny.
