2020-09-27: Brewers (Anderson) at Cardinals (Gomber) [Brewers lose, 5-2 -- Clinch spot in Postseason]

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

Hahah! A triple play. That was fun. Take that, Molina!

[sdcheezhd]

Haha Yadi, all worth it now!

[TURBO]

Is that the first triple play of the year for the brewers?

Might be the first one in a decade.

[Guest]

Wow, this might be a day we get a triple play, lose the game, and still make the playoffs with a record under .500. What a year.

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

Padres still stealing bases! RBI hit would be great here, Jorge Mateo, whoever you are.

[PinaMadness]

How could the Astros have such a huge drop off in record???

How could the Astros have such a huge drop off in record???

I have a guess.

[PinaMadness]

Per Marlins beat writer Craig Mish, Marlins SP Jose Ureña has a fracture in his right forearm from the line drive and is out for the postseason.

Seven for last 43 with risp.

Giants just hit a leadoff HR to start the bottom of 8th. now losing 5-4

[MrTPlush]

5-4 on a Wilmer Flores homer. Padres lead.

[TURBO]

How could the Astros have such a huge drop off in record???

Seems obvious to me...

[dlk9s]

So if the Brewers back into the playoffs with a losing record in a 60-game season, does the champagne fly?

[monkeyman343434]

How could the Astros have such a huge drop off in record???

Seems obvious to me...

Lots of injuries?

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

I sort of just think the Giants are going to come back and win, and, truthfully, it's maybe for the best.

[Eye Black]

Well we have the answer to “how could this game get any worse?” after the Vogelbach apparent hamstring injury.

[HarveysWBs]

Giants down only one now, still in the 8th.

[TURBO]

Arcia drives the ball with that dancing back foot...

[monkeyman343434]

Phillies officially lost 5-0

[TURBO]

Phillies lose.

[BruisedCrew]

Astros are going to make the playoffs at 29-31 unless they make a big comeback, and they talked on TV about the 81 KC Royals being under .500 for the whole season when they won the second half title to get into a division series.

The bottom line is that screwed up seasons produce screwed up results.

[MrTPlush]

Next scrub up, Emilio Pagan for the Padres

[TURBO]

It will be poetic justice if the Giants win that game...
