Taylor staying hot. In his age 27 year, he is doing everything he can to win a spot.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Padres appear to have the on-paper advantage today. :laughing

One thing I am a bit surprised about is that the Brewers have Pablo Reyes at third base and are sort of throwing away an opportunity to get a look at one of the more likely candidates for the position (i.e. Arcia, Robertson, Shaw, Green)

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Slightly OT, was just thinking the other day about how I miss Jerry Narron's line-up cards. He's still going strong coaching for the White Sox.

Padres announcer talking about the Brewers with Vogelbach batting.

"Love the city, love the fans and this guy's on my softball team." :laughing

Good test for Rasmussen facing Tatis and Grisham right off the bat. Should be fun.

He passed the test.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Rasmussen looked fantastic.

For as good as he was last year, that was also a good example of what Grisham still routinely looks like against quality offspeed pitches.

So Bob Scanlan is a reporter for the Padres. my brother was 8-9 when he first played with the Brewers and I was 6-8. I don't even know why but my brother hated Bob Scanlan.
