As much flak as Yelich gets, he is playing better than he has the past two seasons.

You are correct … but that is a fairly low bar

He’s certainly hit the ball well tonight

Two days removed from the golden sombrero

What a difference a day or two makes

All is well again in Brewerland

Goodness does Renfroe have an arm, eh? Almost picked that guy off 2nd when he was a mere 5-6' off the bag and Renfroe was in deep right field.

Well done Gustave! Captain Obvious would like to say: Life is so much easier when our inning eater bullpen guys are getting out of innings unscathed.

Follows up with: "It's easier to win baseball games when you score more runs."

Yikes, Cain had no idea that wasn’t the third out of the inning. The moment he finally realized the inning wasn’t over was pretty great though.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Nice job from Milner to bounce back from what looked like trouble that inning. After having two on base with no outs and a 3-0 count to the third batter things were looking a little bleak. Instead just another zero on the scoreboard.

A couple really nice pitch frames by Narvaez there to get key strike calls too on those borderline inside in-swinging 'fastballs'.

yelich was pretty bad games 1-10... a homer and a double in game 11 gets that ops up over .850 and suddenly he's doing better than the last few years.

while I'm encouraged, I'm also going to temper my enthusiasm yet. there were a few times last year when he looked like "vintage" Yelich, and it was nothing more than a tease.

He had a pair of well hit balls last Thursday in the home opener as well. His double that day missed being a home run to dead center by a foot and he hit another ball that was a flyout near the wall because Carlson was playing him deep.

I know Ureña, imho unfairly, got some pretty negative remarks in his opening day struggles at Wrigley. But, I think it is pretty easy to see why the Brewers like him out of the Pen. He has stuff. He is throwing harder than he has in recent memory. He can be a meaningful piece in the Pen.

Which brings me to:

Organizationally, at present, we have an absurd abundance of riches in the Bullpen Department.

Most likely the difference between St. Louis and Pittsburgh pitching.

Very true. But I would just say in the PITCHING Department in general!

Yelich hitting three drains my hope for any kind of offense explosion. The fact is there are no real good answers but man. Depressing. That Dodgers lineup has 6 guys who would hit three for us. How do you compete with that?

LOL this is awesome. No, I don't care if it's in hindsight.
