I hate to write this. However, this series against the Jays is probably a "just dont get swept" type of series.  Finding a way to grab 2 of 3 would be HUGE.  Burnes is going on Saturday so there is a chance.

It’s time for the guys to start playing better.   Period.    There are a lot of guys on the team who are underperforming to say it nicely or playing like garbage to say it like it is.  We are almost halfway through the season

 

im in the minority here but I wouldn’t trade any good/decent prospects to just “make a move” unless something exceptional comes up.    These player should be good enough.   Play like it.   Pitch like it.   Hit like it.    Enough.

Tonight looks like the toughest matchup on paper, but with the way the Jays hit, any of them could turn ugly.

Steal one tonight, and I'll feel pretty okay overall.

Toronto obviously has a strong offense, but the lack of lefties in their lineup has me hoping for a lengthy, effective start from Houser. He's due.

Obviously, the Jays lineup is littered with powerful bats, but at least we may be dodging George Springer in this series. He's out of tonight's lineup after having previously left a game earlier this week against the White Sox with right elbow discomfort....

It’s like a dream to see 4 or 5 hitters hitting .240 or above!!!

Looking at our line up, its  is kinda a joke , of the regulars only one guy hitting over .250  yikes. I know our pitching is good but how we are over 500 is crazy!

Just hope Houser can avoid that one bad inning where he walks the first guy gets rattled and then gives up consecutive hits . otherwise he generally pitches pretty good . not bad for a fourth or fifth pitcher !

On the TV broadcast they just said Renfroe's "dealing with a little calf issue" which is the first time I've heard it mentioned.
