Yeesh!  I guess we are paying for the relatively healthy rosters from the past year(s).  If karma is keeping track we need a little help getting a world series win to even things out.

No it isn't good and because we don't have real journalists covering the Brewers we won't learn if his "battling" increased the damage and down time.

When Peterson comes back, who goes?

Given the manager's comments about exploring ways to get Hiura more at bats, I'd imagine Urias is the odd man out until September 1st.

Hiura will probably be the odd man out because he's outplaying the other guys, CC can't have that. LOL.

Realistically I would think they would have to move an arm down - and Frelick up, along with Peterson - so send down an arm and Davis til Sept 1? You don't think they would really send Urias down do you? I guess nothing would shock me this year.... but I suppose what other options are there?

Urias probably makes the most sense, I just can't see us demoting him. Brosseau for me makes the most sense despite him raking against lefties. Wong at 2b, Urias at 3b. It's only a couple days after all.

Urias has been brutal in August. Peterson/Brosseau platoon at 3B, Hiura at DH, 2B, 1B (Wong is in the midst of a 4-36 slump) makes the most sense

I would hope a pitcher since it is only a couple of days. Shuffle the last guy on a daily basis for a few days if need be. If Urias is sent down still have to wait 10 days.

Don't you need to have 13 pitchers and 13 hitters? I don't think you can add Peterson and drop a pitcher.

It will be interesting to see what they'll do. I would assume Davis is gone when/if Frelick is added. They have been horrible against LHP, so I would think that they'd keep Brosseau up. Jopal makes a good point about Urias, and I wouldn't be opposed to him getting demoted. It would just be a shock to see it.

It would certainly send a message that performance matters. In my opinion, Urias needs to change his approach. He swings for the fences on every pitch, and I think that limits him as a player. I think he'd be much better off sacrificing a few HR for a higher BA/OBP, but he's not going to do that with a guaranteed starting job. He'd likely only do it if he knows his chance to be on a MLB roster depend on it.

That said, I would guess that Hiura will be the odd man out. They've shown that he's not going to get any type of regular playing time, so that's probably not going to change.

The strange thing about Urias, I think his approach was a lot more solid last season, AND he hit for more than enough power. Maybe if the focus was somehow more on winning games & less on what you think helps your earning potential. Just a bad, bad season that I didn't see coming.

Don't know what the roster will look like, but I assume a bullpen day on Wednesday plus only one day off the remainder of this month tells me they stay at 13 pitchers.

Hurts to lose a late inning reliever like Reyes but having Jace back is huge for the Brewers.
