Does the crew have any promising catchers in the pipeline?

Mario Feliciano in AAA and Jeferson Quero in A. Quero has a really high ceiling with his glove.

The last few years he wasn't productive with the bat. Hiura at least hits the ball hard which is he's been productive at the plate this year despite a high# of Ks.

Yep and if you look at Cain his ops drops when he strikes out more

hiura would be a heckuva a player if he hit the ball more.   But some people have intimated that it’s the brewers organization fault.    If that is true than it’s just frustrating and frustrating to pro baseball as a whole

Yeah. Contact is obviously a really valuable skillset and always will be. But it's also quickly becoming a rare skillset due to the increased quality of MLB pitchers.

Thanks... At some point it would be nice to have a stud catcher again

So, when someone is able to make contact and hit it hard enough to get it through or over the infield maybe we should recognize that instead of classifying them as weak hits.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

It wouldn’t be as rare as you think of there was more emphasis on it.    These players could do it.    If/when the exaggerated shifts go away it would be useful for hitters to emphasize this more
