I have officially reached the point of embarrassment for Counsell. He truly is like a pitcher who has lost it and doesn't know where the ball is going. He is clueless.

This is the most depressing punchless Brewers team we have seen. 
 

so many chances to win or put away bad teams and every time we let them back in or let them win. Too many times they have been pitchers left in when everyone can see they don’t have it…

They have 10 games in the next 8 days with four effective starting pitchers, maybe he’s trying to coax an extra inning from his ace to lighten the load the bullpen is going to have to bear.

Burnes has to get through that inning.  He just has to as he is the team ace but is pitching more like a #5 in his last three starts.  As a manger you have to get at least 6 innings out of your best pitcher.  Instead Burnes is just stinking it up lately.

That's because the Yankees fans expect World Series titles.  Brewers fans are just happy for a winning record.

No, the Brewers front office is just happy for a winning record. Many of the fans are looking for a deep postseason push.

The date is July 8th, 2022. The Yankees have just beaten the Red Sox 12-5 and won the first 2 games of a 4-game set in Boston. They now hold a 15.5 game lead over the Rays in the AL East and own the best record in baseball. They are on pace to break the single season wins record.

It is now September 3. They are 15-25 since the break holding a 4 game lead over TB.
