I swear, if the Shuckers close out their season on a  10-0 victory run after losing 26-4 in their first two games versus Mississippi….well, that will be the most 2022 Shuckers thing ever.?

A victory for AAA Nashville over Jacksonville at home today would give the Sounds a 4-2 series win. RHP Marcus Walden makes his 2nd start of the week (6 IP, 1 R (0 ER), 5 Ks on Tuesday) and LF Sal Frelick has a 34-game on-base steak:

The Jumbo Shrimp got to Marcus Walden early, but the Sounds have tied the game on some hard work from Weston Wilson (single, SB, score on sac fly), a Cam Devanney 2-run shot and then Wilson with a solo blast. It's 4-4 through 4 innings, with LHP Ethan Small coming in.

AA Biloxi is seeking a 10th consecutive victory tonight to close out their season, facing Pensacola on the road and sending RHP Carlos Luna out for his 2nd outing of the week (6 IP, 2 R, 6 Ks on Tuesday. 3B Zavier Warren comes in with a 6-game hitting streak:

Frelick's on-base streak ends.  Ruiz's streak continues, and in small samples galore, Ruiz finishes with the highest OPS of the group of four OFs at .940; Frelick at .893, Wiemer at .904, Mitchell .901.

Frelick had a HBP so his on-base streak continued.

As if I needed more reasons to continue crushing on the under the radar awesomeness of Cam Devanney. I'm telling you, this young man is absolutely legit. He has the tools to make it in the MLB.

Biloxi can't win out to end the season but what a run, regardless. The storyline of today's game 'should' read: Tristen Lutz finds a homer just as his season closes and LHP Clayton Andrews goes 2 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 HB, 5 K. That's what I'm talking about. Leave us wanting more, Mr. Andrews!
