Think I saw they got permission to interview Heat assistant Chris Quinn who has a pretty good reputation, or maybe it’s just the Spoelstra connection.

Obligatory mention of former Bucks Sam Cassell and Jerry Stackhouse whose names seem to come up every offseason but have yet to land an HC gig. Don’t believe either has been connected to MKE this go round though.

I would be ok with Quinn what about Adrian Griffin or Charles Lee?

Lee is currently a finalist for the Pistons job but why not just keep him instead?

I know nothing about Lee, but I think he gets tarnished a bit here with Bud's failures.  As I mentioned before, it seems like the flexibility part of our '21 championship left with Ham.

I have a negative impression when I think of Doc Rivers, but I'm not sure why.  Maybe just from his playing days...maybe because he always seems to be frowning? I don't get good vibes from him anyway.

Whomever we pick, I hope the person is selected based on his offensive/defensive fit around Giannis and team and not "well he was a good coach here or there..."

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

So the Bucks have $114M in guaranteed contracts next year with a projected salary cap of $134 and eight other roster spots to fill. They also have $90M tied up in Bird Rights players allowing the team to go over the cap to re-sign them. The luxury tax line is $162M, or $48M above the salary cap.

Ownership has said they're fine taking on the repeater tax, though I suspect it's not a strong commitment.

My brother had the idea of trading Middleton in order to sign Brown from Boston, but you can go over the cap to re-sign a current player, but not to sign a new one.

Jrue is also a FA after next season, and the idea of extending both him and Middleton while continuing to pay the repeater tax just doesn't seem like a possibility.

I wonder if there's a good possibility the Bucks are hoping for a sign-and-trade of Middleton as well as trading Jrue this offseason for something of a soft rebuild to not only make the team younger but also to start adding players who would best compliment the style of whatever coach they hire.

This team does have the feel of the '21 Packers... "Hey bring back Rodgers for one more year because we think the team is good enough for another run".

Except this is more about "bring back the same team around Giannis because they are good enough for another run"

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I'm kind of surprised on how large of a net Horst is casting. I thought they would bring in a few big names and make the hire to beat everyone else to the punch. Seems like this will be slow process.

Maybe there should be a Heat assistant coach in that candidate list?

There is. They interviewed the heats top assistant

I still want a head coach that hasn't had experience.  This team needs new ideas not ones stuck in the past.

I get that, if they did hire Quinn from the heat, I wouldn’t be mad. He has been under the best coach in the nba. If they hire lee, I’d be disappointed.  I still think there is a few great experienced coaches that if they get nurse, Vogel, or Williams, I’m good with that too. I have softened on my view of rivers.

How exactly did Miami lose to Atlanta in that first play in game?

Remember what Yoda said:

Only shot 11/34 from three as a team and Jimmy was only 6/19 from the field.

Got out-rebounded 63-39 including 22-6 on the offensive glass.

Miami might sweep Boston. I mean what is going on.

I'm sure there were many Celtic fans mocking the Bucks losing to the Heat in 5, so there's that.

Shoot they almost didn't even get here. They were down to the Bulls most of the 4th quarter in their playoff game. Who knows how things would have played out after.

Of the three I prefer Griffin.

Not with his DV past, that should be an automatic disqualifer imo

Bucks are reportedly down to three:

His tweet wasn’t  clear if they were down to 3 or not. I do hope Atkinson isn’t the choose. , I’m ok with the other 2, I’m still team Monty tough

the tweet didn't say that was the final 3, it said that they were in the final conversations. I know Brooks impressed them. I still think Monty Williams / Doc Rivers will be in the final considerations as well (even though i understand that there has been no reports that either have been interviewed).

1. Nurse

2. Kenny

Given his history Griffin shouldn't even be an option

Atkinson's Nets reign was less than stellar. Maybe I'm missing something what about Griffin's history is a disqualifier? Just curious.

Griffin was accused of some really bad stuff by his ex wife.
