He is indeed.  Chourio, Clarke, Carlos D. Rodriguez, Meeker, and Lazar are also being considered for a promotion.  Of course, not room for all of them however.

The hype is real as it should be.  My hope is just that fans have some patience.  Not saying that I think he’ll struggle by any means, but, say he spends most of 2024 in Milwaukee, it’s entirely okay

I have heard that SS Eric Brown, Jr. is also headed to AA Biloxi.  Trying to confirm that at the moment.

That’s the 2nd indication we’ve gotten that the team is high on now-17 year old RHP Aldrin Gonzalez, who’s apparently skipping DSL ball and coming directly stateside. Here’s a note from earlier in the year:

That seems pretty notable. When is the last time the Brewers had a 17 year old pitcher completely skip the DSL? Has it ever happened?

More common pre-2009 when we didn’t have a DSL team. From 2009 onward, I’m only seeing Mario Perez in 2019. I wouldn’t count Jolon Zhao, since we wouldn’t likely send an Asian signee to the DSL.

I guess you could sort of count Yujanyer Herrera because I believe he skipped the DSL and played stateside in his age 17 season, but I think he might have been a young member of the pre-COVID class who would have pitched in the DSL as a 16 year old were it not for the pandemic.

Sigh. Best of luck moving forward to all these men.

I spend  a lot of time watching these guys and I admittedly get attached to certain players. Farewell, Pablo, my Sweet Prince. Hopefully, this isn't due to extenuating injury circumstances. And, I sincerely hope everything is safe and sound in his life beyond baseball. This one is quite surprising given how stellar he was in 2022 (including a random, albeit super brief, stint with Nashville!). I had really high hopes for this young man. It's a sad baseball day for me. My pennants are waving at half mast.

  • RHP Jake Cousins placed on MLB Brewers' 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 4 - this probably negates his earlier announced option to AAA Nashville, so perhaps he earns more money (pro-rata MLB salary) and it saves one of his MLB-MILB options for this year
