Which again comes back to you wanting to give up on Winker 25 games into the season. We got Winker to be our every day DH against RHP.

There you go again...I've never once advocated for giving up on Winker. For pete's sake, I've been one of the biggest Winker stans on here dating back to when we acquired him. Quit putting words in my mouth.

Winker doesn't play against LHP. If Contreras were to be our regular DH against LHP, it would solve the problem of getting him rest and keeping him in the lineup without impacting Winker's playing time at DH..

The day to DH Contreras and give him a day off from C would have been Monday night against Boyd. But, with CC not DHing him then and Winker mired in a slump, I probably would have done so today.

Catchers rarely ever play day games after night games. Why do you continue to ignore that?

Lol. Not true. JT Realmuto does. Adley Rutschman does. Yasmani Grandal did. That's the company of catcher bats Contreras is in since last season...

You don't always know more about the Brewers and baseball than others...

Adley and Contreras have both caught 17 games this season. Seems like they both are getting plenty of games off behind the plate. Realmuto has been catching 140 games for over half a decade he is used to it. Contreras has never caught 100 games in his career and he only caught 68 games last season. He's on pace to catch 111 games this season.

Yeli with another GB with Wiemer on 2nd that isn't productive. 4/25 with risp. All 4 are singles.  7RBI.  He's costing the team so many run opportunities. At least 10RBI below where he should be with the  1-8 with bases loaded. If not 15.

Would be nice to have a single game thread this season where people aren't complaining about Counsell's lineups.

Must be new here. 😉

Literally every game thread ever after lineups are announced and/or a pitcher is pulled. Also if a pitcher is not pulled.

I always find it comical. One of the greatest benefits of watching the amount of Minor League games I do is when I head to the Brewers game everything is peaches n cream. The quality of play; the talent level; everything, really...is just so much better. And, believe it or not: Counsell and his staff know their players and they have a legitimate and well-informed plan. It's easy to complain, sure, but why not just enjoy the entire process? Anyhow, let's grab this 'W'!

I tend to not get that worked up about a single game. But frequent mis-use of a player gets on my nerves, like the way Hiura was constantly being used last year.

And when it comes to pulling, not pulling, or putting in a pitcher, the error has to be egregious for me to get mad about it... and while that happens, it's pretty infrequent.

They debuted the 'Auto Balls and Strikes' in Nashville last night. OMG, it was glorious. The ump has an earpiece. The entire stadium sees the live Auto-Zone in real time. Any touch of any part of the zone by any part of the ball is relayed a strike. It. Is. Awesome. Can't arrive soon enough.

Wiemer is starting to show more power. That is a very good sign. With Mitchell and Frelick both down, they probably have to stick with him and let him take his lumps and the ML level this season.

And he did it against a change-up. Maybe not quite as impressive as a breaking ball but good to see he did that against something off-speed.
