Ugh. Down 5-4 in the bottom of the 9th and facing a pitcher with an ERA of almost 7.00, Alex Hall dutifully walked to lead off the frame. But Acosta popped out, then Brown and Moore each swung at the first pitch (ground out, pop out). Six losses in a row.

AA Biloxi is also reeling, having lost 6 games in a row. RHP Christian Mejias (4.80 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 11.7 K/9 in 30 IP) gets the start in Chattanooga tonight. 3B Tyler Black (.243 AVG, .890 OPS in 142 PAs) returns to the lineup after a day off.

Embarrassing night at the plate for Biloxi. Through 5 innings they have struck out 13 times.

Zamora with 3 errors today. 2 throwing errors (both on pretty routine plays) and one missed catch error on a double play ball.

Posting remaining lineups for posterity sake. RHP Logan Henderson (3 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 7 Ks, 1 WP) had a decent outing, but Low-A Carolina was unable to build on its 3-2 series lead in Kannapolis.

AAA Nashville had every opportunity to take a series lead in Durham, but went 0-for-9 with RISP and stranded 12 on base. LHP Thomas Pannone had a busy night (6 IP, 3 R, 6 H, 3 BB, 7 Ks). Rehabbing DH/1B Luke Voit can remove the bat from his shoulder next game (2 walks, HBP, 2 Ks).

Ruh roh. And now he's on the pines after 3.5 innings today. Slightly concerning given his epic fielding and throwing struggles in 2022 led to a season long stint (ultimately) on the IL. Let's simply hope it was a hiccup and there aren't any recurring injury signs! If I recall, off the top of my head, it was a shoulder ailment last season.
