I am at the point where I think Counsell needs to go.

To be swept by the worst team in baseball at home is unacceptable.  If Counsell wants out let's accommodate him tomorrow and clean house from the top down,  This team isn't going to do much even if they find a way to win this crappy division so let's start over with a fresh mindset and approach before fans lose interest and we have "crowds" like they do in Miami.

I'm not saying Counsell has a great roster or anything but there definitely seems to be a lethargic passiveness about this team.  We play these "bad teams" and they play with for more energy and "want to" than the Brewers do.  Maybe just more of a "time for a shakeup" thing than anything directly related to Counsell.  I do not think he is the problem, at least not a major problem.

From all I’ve read, it seems he will walk away after the season to focus on his son’s college baseball careers

I certainly don’t think he’s the problem

If he does walk away - I hope we go outside the current staff & hire all new coaches under a young inspirational & fiery new manager

I’m very quickly becoming indifferent to this team. This core just isn’t gonna win. Best course of action is to sell at deadline and add to the upper levels of the farm to match our current crop of pieces.

I mentioned this a while ago. The apathy toward this franchise is at an all time high, and the length of the IGTs proves it.

Gosh! No offense intended. Not telling you how to think. Just saying things could be worse.

Again - I’ve followed this team since its inception … I don’t need a reminder that “things could be worse” 🥴

At least we have the memory of the three months in 2021 when Adames produced like an elite hitter. I don’t think we’ll ever see anything close to that again.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Only a few post on the IGTs these days & for whatever reason - anything other than “positive” comments gets push back & reminders to “get better perspective” - which is as frustrating to me as the Brewers mediocre play for the past two years

People who think the manager is the problem are hilarious to me.

If the rumors are true that this is Counsell's final season the players have to know this too.  This has to be a major distraction in the clubhouse.

Not while he's in Milwaukee anyway. The best thing for any non pitcher on this team is to get as far away from our hitting coaches as possible. Hell, it was even mentioned yesterday that Jace Peterson has a better hitting approach this year playing for the A's.

I agree

Sadly - your post looks like a cut & paste from comments on Yelich in 2018-2019

You have to realize that disappointment and frustration are a function of expectation and hope.

After 2021 expectations were high and the results the last two years have not come close to meeting them.

So many counselors on this board 🙌🏼

It appears we may very well get swept at home by one of baseball’s all-time worst teams

Six outs to go & no signs of life

Even if somehow we muster up a rally & pull this game out - what a joke of a roster we currently have in Milwaukee

Counsell has been given a trash roster.

A lot of the rule changes really neutered what council was good at in particular the addition of the DH.

So much so that now he's nothing more than a cookie cutter manager like 90% of them.

The A’s came into this series with an ERA over 6.

The Brewers have managed 6 runs against them in 26 innings, including one inning where they had a gift runner at second and still couldn’t score.

Watching the Brewers play these past few years is similar to …

Watching the Badgers offense under Paul Chryst

Watching the Badgers offense under Greg Gard

Watching the Packers defense under Joe Barry

I love to live my life by principles

I know better than to invest my time in activities, events, & relationships that constantly produce aggravation & frustration … with very little enjoyment

In spite of that knowledge - I consistently watch this team … probably 150+ games per year … & I experience quite a bit of disappointment

So … to all the counselors on the board - How do you stop loving a team after 50+ years?

Milwaukee is depending on far too many AAA players to win ML games

Singleton, Monasterio, Perkins … not gonna get it done at this level

It’s more than that. It’s the raised expectations  given their play from ‘18-‘21, and maybe denial, based on a big year or two from a player, that most of their regular hitters are nothing more than mediocre pros.

Yikes … Strez has been off recently … he may need some time in Nashville to get right - he definitely needs to be moved away from late innings relief in close games

I guess CC thought they didn't have a big enough deficit to overcome to explain why Strz is still in the game.

CC not in the game today. At his kid's graduation
