Does Weimer know what the term "plate approach" means?

No , he is in the Adames way of hitting , close your eyes , swing as hard as you can and hope you hit one out.

Montesario hitting cleanup. Wiemer 5th. I just don't understand how this is being allowed to happen. I wish the owner would actually step in a say boys I expect you to do what it takes to make me a champion.

Small sample size and all that but Monasterio has an OPS of 1.000 against lefties. BABIP is .458 so he is very lucky right now but lets use him for as long as he can hit

Can't get a good grasp on that one.  Seemed like he could score there but out by a mile.  They get it in quickly, bad send, or Monasterio not as quick as I thought?

Fireable offense.  You can’t keep getting your guys easily thrown out.

I mean, are your more sure the next guy up gets a hit than you are that the Reds make two good throws?  I understand the send with this offense.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Great relay , give the reds credit . that being said it wasn't even close. Got to have better read than that! I guess that's what happens when you can't score !

What was that send Lane?!?!

To be fair the odds of a two out base hit to score a runner about the same as the reds relay being thrown into the stands.

Feel like that would have been worth a challenge for blocking the plate.  He was blocking the plate and the throw didn’t lead him in there.  Plus, that gets you a guaranteed run with a runner in scoring position if you win it.  Hard to imagine another play in this game that would be more beneficial to winning than that one.

Time for home plate ump to take two weeks off…then quit.

To be fair, we had a huge advantage last night.

Lane is horrible but he knows that the odds of this team coming up with a big two out hit is non existent. The pressure gets to everyone eventually.

Simply incredible this team is in first.

It’s only a matter of time unless something is done

you have to score runs.    You just have too

Imagine thinking plugging bats like CJ Cron etc into this lineup would move the needle. If that's all you're going to do, don't bother. That's actually insulting to Brewer fans. Go big, or stand pat and punt on the rest of the season.
