That's the first time I recall ever seeing Counsell go out and not pull the pitcher.

It was certainly a surprise. Next thing you know he'll have Adamas batting in the seven spot.

I think Burnes has earned it, especially against the Pirates.  If our ace can’t buckle down and get that out against that hitter, what are we even doing here?

Santana continues to fit in nicely.  Even when you don’t expect a lot these guys seem to lower the bar even further 😅

That ridiculous front foot lift fits right in this lineup.

I’m confused at how the players don’t look at yelich and his immediate change in results when he went to a glide instead of a leg lift.

Just amazing how punch less this offense is . No matter who we put in the 3, 4 hole its absolutely nothing ! I can't imagine a team that has the worst production at those spots than us !

This would probably be a top 10 loss for the year.

Maybe not top five but certainly top 10 with Burnes on the mound.

Doesn't get more pitiful than going 0-2 in Burnes starts over a week against two last place teams.

Glad it worked out leaving Burnes in. Still think it was the wrong decision with Burnes command though.

A buddy of mine is at the game with good seats. He swears burnes told counsell to "get the food off my mound". I really hope he's right...

Burnes command was legit terrible tonight. Only 3 non-cutters in the strike zone the entire night and so many cutters right over the heart of the plate. Super fortunate he didn't give up more than 2 runs.

That Adames ground ball to third is a classic excessive launch angle that ends up being an overspin grounder.

But... According to a recent  detailed statistical microanalysis, Adames is about to break out of his slump and will have an OPS of 932... In December.

Has anyone tried smelling salts on the hitters? Stimulants? USSSA bats?

Haven't you heard its all about run prevention scoring is so old school.

Run prevention is looking good tonight. The fact that everyone was pissed about Burnes giving up two runs like game over tells us that we are dunzo.
