He's definitely not unwilling. McCalvy talked about how he's tried a lot of adjustments but just can't seem to make anything stick so far.

Decades long poor mechanics don't go away in weeks.

I think it is worth noting that people were complaining about Turang not playing versus LHP earlier in the season but now he plays against them regularly. It’s part of the development process.

Frelick has been outstanding with how CC is currently using him and TT is heating up. And as soon as Freeland exits the game, Frelick will be in there.

Madness.

Not surprised by the lineup. Some of us have seen Counsell enough to understand this was to be expected. It's frustrating and ridiculous but hopefully it won't cost them a much needed win. You have to wonder what would have happened to Ryan Braun had he been called up under Counsell. Wild.

The criticisms of Counsell's management are so funny to me. He has this Brewers team in 1st place on August 8th despite being one of the worst offenses in franchise history and people still are hypercritical of him.

He's not helping his historically poor offense by benching his hottest hitter but go off.

CC following Stearns to NY with the Mets?

If CC does leave, it's time to get some fire and brimstone with Ozzie Guillen!

I do too. Keep in mind people can critique his decisions and still like him as a manager. File me under this camp. There are those who think if you don't sign on to everything you must not like the guy.

Freeland has been horrific lately, particularly on the road. Now, watch him pitch 7 shutout innings.

Wait until he faces the meat of our order!

Somebody tell Rock that at least two rookies that I know of won a gold glove last year.

What is his contact info?  I will tell him!

I don’t like how Wiemer drops his bat before swinging. Doesn’t that mean he has to be extra on time with the backswing and swing?

Yes. It's why he can't hit.

He hasn’t been THAT bad lately.

He’s only had 4 starts since July 1, and his 2 road games were against the Astros (4 ER in 6.1 IP) and Giants (1 ER in 6.1 EP).

Pitching confidently against one of the worst offenses in MLB I would expect runs for the Brewers to be hard to come by. He has a 2.00 ERA in 6 starts against the Brewers, including one earlier this year.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Kyle Freeland shutting us down regardless of his recent pitching performance. A tale as old as time.

Except for Monasterio!

Braves have been terrible since Brewers left town.

The Braves have not been good the last couple of weeks except against the Brewers.
