To be fair, if Taylor doesn't break for home there the Dodgers probably turn a double play and he's standing on 3rd with 2 outs.  you can't read and react to exactly where a ball is hit towards the middle if a pitcher will field it or not.  Middle IF is at double play depth in that situation, so, unless it's hit right towards you at third base if it's a grounder you head for home trying to scratch that 1st run of the game across.

Yelich was going. Every pitch. He beats that.

I absolutely do not understand how the hitting coaches are currently employed by the Brewers organization. This is a business, not a family.

The downfall (talent isn't the greatest to begin with) started with Andy Haines.  The fact we hired that hack hurt so many guys.  He has continued in Pittsburgh being a detriment to their young prospects hitting development.  You can't make a bad hire and expect others to pick up years of bad habits accumulated.  Launch angle plays a role, however when you look at our personnel that are 'veterans' before and after Haines not a single one has made strides.  Haines started it and TImmons/Dawson continued it.

Pirates hitting has cratered as the year has progressed.

I believe that one of the hitting coaches didn't even play pro ball. Is that correct??

It appears that Conner Dawson never played and was coaching in junior college not long ago. How in the world do you invest millions in hitting talent and then give them to a coach who never even played college baseball? More needs to be investigated into how this happened.

I mean, if you think there's been no batted ball luck for the Dodgers in this series, you'd have to be blind. Not responsible for the Brewers not scoring runs, but it's been there.

It’s one thing to mention something, it’s another to harp on it over and over, even right after the Brewers got a hit of the kind that he gripes about when the Dodgers got them.

To me the story of this series is that the Brewers have 3 runs on 9 hits in 24 innings, not that some of the Dodgers runs have come on soft hits or that the Brewers have had some hard hit outs.

No argument there.

Hmmm...ok, that's a bit different then - but I still think game situation dictates being aggressive and trying to score on contact in that spot.  Scoreless game in the 6th.

Meanwhile, Cy Lynn on his way to a CG shutout🤢

I just can’t watch Willy hit anymore.

Willy doesn't hit, he just swings aimlessly praying to touch the baseball.
