Yes, they use more sophisticated metrics than a win-loss record. Burnes is a fantastic pitcher.

If you're Burnes ask for a trade this off season. Why be a lame duck and then go into free agent year with a 5-7 record because you get no offense. Cut the cord.

He isn't going to have to ask....

If I was burnes or other said pitcher it still sucks to lose games though.   I would rather win sometimes

Exactly. Some guys actually want to win. Why stay and risk injury while losing?

I have no doubts that either Santana or Frelick reaches allowing Willy to K for the finish, hitting that Mendoza Line.

That dude sucks.

This game is a prime example of ownership ineptitude.  The offense has sucked all year.  Mark A and Matt A brought back, in short, the same exact offense that sucked last year.  Expecting different results with a few rookies..  There is absolutely no excuse to score 3 runs in a 3 game series against anyone (there isn't a single poster here that thinks we score a run in the 9th). You can't continue to run the same philosophy year in and year out and expect different results.  You did this when we got to the NLCS (albeit with pitching being the inept area).  Your franchise was gifted 3 elite cost controlled pitchers and you didn't do a single darn thing to improve the offense.  Shame on Mark A and his 'attempt' at being an owner.  Your in a class just above Jeffrey Loria.

Hi, Mark Attanasio here!

First, we brought in Jedd Gyrko in 2020 and he retired on us after being our best hitter that season!

Second, we signed Yelich to a lucrative contract and he took a nose dive!

Third, Orlando Arcia only decided to hit after leaving us!  Why blame me for that?

Fourth, I couldn't afford Hunter Renfroe with Bidenomics kicking in!  Again, not my fault!

I have to get to my Oakland A's move business now ... please email me for more privacy next time at MARKATTANASIOforCommish@LArules.com

Arby hearings have zero relation to free agency.

I didnt expect him to light up the scoreboard but I thought Santana would not be another Schoop.

But that is where he is right now.

I am ultra Negative tonight because I have reached the seasonal breaking point.  You can only take so much ineptitude before you break.  Tonight was my night.  Watching a critical game, where your Cy Young pitcher goes 7 strong innings of Cy Young ball to take a no decision because of baseball 101 ineptitude.  It just gets old.  If I am a pitcher on this team I don't lay an eye or talk to any of the hitters on this team, especially when Willy is clowning around in the dugout embracing his inner Bob Uecker at the plate.  Screw that clown.

Again read my quote. I said next year is Arby. Brewers are going to hold it against him and then he goes into free agency. He wants to win and put up numbers. Brewers are not being serious in trying to field offense.

Willy has swung at two straight balls

HUH? He only swung at one in that inning unless you are counting the one that was being called a strike all game long.

I did read it. You said:  "Why be a lame duck and then go into free agent year with a 5-7 record because you get no offense"

You weren't talking about arby, but free agency, no?
