JB doesn't inspire me. That, and I remain intrigued by Clayton Andrews.

Worth noting that due to the off-day on Thursday they can go Freddy, Miley, and Corbin this weekend against the Phillies.

Yeah I think they do that and then go to a 6-man rotation for the rest of the season after that especially with no off days from September 8th to 24th.

Robert Gasser is going to retire a Nashville Sound at this rate.

Gasser pitched on Friday. No point in bringing him up to sit on the bench for the Cubs series while being unavailable to pitch.

Yep……after yesterday they needed a guy to cover middle innings for tonight and/or tomorrow…….Wilson certainly not available for at least 2 days.

Yeah Bukauskas is here to eat innings in a situation where Miley doesn’t go long or there’s a big lead/deficit. Even if Wilson was available they probably would have done this but Wilson being unavailable for probably the whole Cubs series (at least the first 2) made it an even more obvious decision.

So, Robert Gasser is going to make his debut on Saturday it looks like. That's effectively his spot in the AAA rotation.

Can't wait for Rea/Junk to come back!

I could be wrong, but I doubt it's going to be Rea. He'd have to start tonight to be available for Saturday, and the minors are off on Mondays. Otherwise he'll have gone 10 days since his last start. Teheran still has one more rehab appearance to go.

Junk is another option and would also align with his pitching schedule, not to mention already being on the 40 man, but Gasser has earned it over him with his performance over the last several months.
