He threw it to where Doubs WAS.  But the ball wasn't there... CB breaking on Doubs, Doubs does the right thing by keep moving.  By the time he was 4 yards away, Love threw it to where he WAS.   It was late.

Disagree.  But hopefully they’ll learn from their miscommunication and that’s a TD next time.

well glad I sold my Tix to this one

This just made me realize my last game there was the Wild Card playoffs against the Giants, 2016 season. Can't believe it's been that long. I used to go 1-2x a year.

Late?  He was flushed out of the pocket and threw to the exact spot Doubs was supposed to be.

After watching it again, it was late and Love would have needed Doubs to work back to him there. So 60/40 Love/Doubs, but asking him to hold it so Love can get open up field is asking a WHOLE lot while the pocket is collapsing.

Sure...that's all true. And in Walker's mind, if he blocks it flush(not just tips it) but blocks it, now it's a play with a bunch of OL vs Walker and a bunch of CBs.

I doubt he'll do it again, I'm just not putting too much on him for trying to make a play like that.

That's why he needs his coaches to address what's in his mind before he acts on it and remind him that his offense is about to get the ball back with a chance to win it with 2 scores if he doesn't do anything stupid.

You know you have zero tradition when your best cheer is "Let's go <insert team name>"

Never thought I’d see the year when Green Bay is the third most exciting professional team in Wisconsin.  And it isn’t even particularly close.  I know this is as much a testament to the Milwaukee teams’ formidability as it is Green Bay’s weakness, but it is still remarkable.

What's more exciting than a real chance of your QB's brain being scrambled on every passing down?

Good point, I just need a perspective change!

Please be assured I'm not saying Walker wasn't good tonight. He was very good. But his bad play was *really* bad. It was essentially the play that killed the comeback momentum.

Detroit went through the growing pains and now is a solid team.  I expect the Packers to do the same.

Yup. Give me Joe Alt(or Mims from UGA who I think will blow up).

Hell, give me UGA's LT, C and their MLBer who replaced Quay in Smael Mondon and looks like a more instinctive version.

And then keep adding to the DL. Keep growing from the trenches. We have the weapons on the outside. We have the QB. We have EVERYTHING you need on D but a good DC.

I think Valentine is a starting caliber CB. Stokes is coming back. But go back to work on that OL, building one that can dominate like the top 4 teams in the NFC can right now, Philly, Det, SF and...when healthy, Dallas.

Unfortunately it killed any chance at a come back.  I do think he tried to jump up and didn’t mean to jump over the guy but you’re right, it was a bad penalty.  Just be happy you held them to a FG and get off the field.

It was a bad play but the odds of a full comeback against Detroit were a lot longer than they were against the saints.

Yes, maybe continuing toward Love could've been better, but Doubs did the right thing by not just stopping there.  Good chance that was picked even with Doubs staying and waiting there with the CB still cutting back in front of him.

Overall though... despite the 2 INTs,  I think he continues to look better.  But we need to get him to start with the second half.  He really struggles to get into the game the first half. 64% completion overall which is decent.

And he gets the same amount of carries as Jones does

I give MLF a pass for tonight since Jones was beat up, but Wilson should pass him as the 2nd ball carrier.

The only thing Dillon really does well...is help in pass pro.

Another 211 yards allowed on the ground. Just another "much less than the sum of their parts" day at the office for a Joe Barry defense.

Yes, I'm certain Jones wasn't 100%... did he even get a catch?  Pass pro is pretty important... Wilson won't get many snaps until he can do it.

How far in the doghouse must Nijman be to not even crack this offensive line right now?

The thing is where are you playing him? The ONLY thing you had going for you was you had OTs who were holding up. Walker and Tom played...pretty well.

You'd have to move Walker to Guard(which I think should be done, but not on the fly) and Tom HAS to stay on the outside. He's too athletic and not strong enough.

Nijman is CLEARLY one of the top 5, but it's a weird situation. He's not a OG.
