A 1st round pick while we're contending and 3 years of grooming and this is what we get. Solid work, Gute.

I have come to the conclusion we have an average/poor GM and and average/poor HC.

No matter what happens, Gute's legacy will be defined by that decision.

"Love just needs time to develop!"

*sigh*

I understand that not every rookie QB is ready for snaps from Day 1 in the NFL, but it blows my mind that some teams can start a rookie late round pick and have him look like one of the best in the NFL and our organization meanwhile acts like it's baseball and our QBs need years of development in the minor leagues. And then we complain about how expensive QB contracts are after their rookie deal.

Good D stand there.  Now come back and RUN THE GDAM BALL.

We don't have Aaron Jones and the rest of our RBs suck. If we can't take some shots downfield with the QB we took 3+ years ago in the 1st round, we don't have the right guy.

The whole time he sat on the bench the mantra was "he needs time to develop!" Like you said, plenty of guys come right in and play. Heck, Purdy played first year.

Love does not look ready to play. There's no "he's learning the offense" or other excuses that can be made. He doesn't look good. Maybe he'll be ok or he'll improve, but he doesn't look good, and this is his fourth year (yeah yeah, 2020 was pretty much a lost year) of learning the playbook, getting used to the NFL, being under LaFleur, etc.  He does NOT look ready to start for an NFL team.

it's weird that I think it'd be a big plus if this game is still a 1 score ballgame at half with the Raiders getting the ball to open the 2nd half...but that's where we are right now, unfortunately.

Just nothing even threatening downfield because I don't think they trust their line to pass block long enough against Crosby and a bunch of guys.

Cool.  Third and long might as well punt now.

Remember what Yoda said:
